Les Bostonades

Period-instrument ensemble Les Bostonades has been sharing chamber music with Boston and New England area audiences since its founding in 2005. Its performances have been described as “the most engaging chamber music playing,” and with “a poignancy of emotion” (Early Music America). In addition to performing the standard Baroque repertoire, the ensemble has an ongoing interest in bringing the music of lesser-known French Baroque composers to light.

Les Bostonades includes director Akiko Enoki Sato, an acclaimed harpsichordist and continuo player; tenor Zachary Wilder, who works with leading ensembles including Les Arts Florissants, Bach Collegium Japan, and the Boston Early Music Festival; Teddie Hwang, who received her Master’s degree in Historical Flute Performance from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague; violinist and violist Sarah Darling, who studied at Harvard and Juilliard, and is currently finishing a doctorate at the New England Conservatory; and Emily Walhout, who has played viola da gamba or principal cello for The King’s Noyse, the Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, Seattle Baroque, and Les Violons Du Roy.
