What do New York, Boston, San Francisco, Houston, Milwaukee, and Ann Arbor have in common? They are among the few cities in the US that have an organization dedicated exclusively to early classical music performances and education in their communities.
The Academy of Early Music is the only organization in Southeast Michigan that presents a concert series dedicated exclusively to historically informed performances of music composed before 1800. Your support is critical to sustaining this unique cultural resource and helping us deliver outstanding performances of early classical music and enriching educational opportunities to Southeast Michigan.
The Academy of Early Music is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible to the limits permissible by law.

Ways to Give
Annual Gift
Ticket sales cover only about 40% of the Academy’s total costs. Without the generous support of donors like you, the series of concerts and programs described here simply would not exist in the communities we serve.
Multi-year Pledge
Make a pledge to the Academy today and spread payments over several years. In addition to sustaining future programs, multi-year pledges may be eligible to receive tax benefits not available with annual gifts.
Sponsorships
Sponsor an Academy activity and tell everyone that you support early classical music. Possible sponsorships include single concerts or events, youth educational or preconcert lecture series, concert broadcasts, or something that is tailored for you.
New Initiatives
Help the Academy expand its programming further by providing seed money for new initiatives.
Planned Giving
Make early classical music a part of your musical legacy by including the Academy in your estate planning. Whether it is a bequest, donation of an IRA or life insurance policy, or another type of gift, your generosity will have a tremendous impact on the Academy and the communities we serve. The Academy can work with you and your financial advisor to guide you toward which estate gifts are right for you.
Business Support/Foundation Grants
Businesses and foundations that support the Academy not only help enable us to deliver our concerts and programs, but also show a sophisticated audience their deep commitment to sustaining local communities.
Gifts in Kind
Help offset the Academy’s costs by providing gifts in kind such as professional services, printing, equipment, or food trays for visiting artists. Gifts in kind receive acknowledgment in concert programs.
Volunteer
The Academy relies on volunteers to makes its programs a reality. Volunteers are needed to usher at concerts; provide artist accommodations and transportation; prepare mailings; offer professional expertise in marketing, public relations, accounting, fundraising, writing, etc., and more.

Program Book Advertisements
The Academy’s program book consists of two components: an outer jacket used for the entire concert season and an inner section that is concert specific.
The outer jacket is a full-color glossy booklet with finished dimensions of 5½” w x 8½” h. Advertisements are available in quarter, half, and full page sizes.
The inner section contains program notes, artist biographies, and other information relevant to that day’s concert. It is in black and white with the same dimensions as above and is printed on demand prior to an ensemble’s engagement. Advertisements for this section are available in half and full page sizes only and are contingent upon space availability.
With prices starting at $175 for a color advertisement running for eight months, the Academy’s program book is an affordable way to reach a sophisticated audience from Southeast Michigan’s most affluent communities. It also helps reflect your commitment to arts and culture in our region, which your customers appreciate.
